Here at Moray Firth Media Trust we take our training very seriously; to deliver our unique courses in radio broadcasting we employ industry professionals who between them carry a vast experience across many disciplines of radio broadcasting.
MFMT is overseen by a Board of Directors who ensures the continuing high standard of training we deliver.

Diane Knox
Diane came to MFMT during 2004 after graduating with a degree in Communication and Mass Media. She wanted to expand her knowledge in commercial radio and learn about all departments of a radio station.
She says she loves the presenting side of radio and would never have had the chance to present if it had not been for the VQ and all the hands-on experience and training she received at MFMT.
Diane currently presents MFR's Afternoon Show, Sunday to Friday, from 1pm and delivers training to full time MFMT students. |

Ginno Conti
Ginno took a career change to enroll for an HNC in Radio Broadcasting at Edinburgh's Telford College, through the course he was able to secure a position with Radio Forth where he gained experience in many departments, finally landing a Presentation and Production job.
Radio Forth led to Radio Borders and a stint in Commercial Production with some creative writing, then, most recently, the trip north to head up the breakfast team at MFR.
Ginno delivers training for MFMT, passing on his experience and knowledge to full time students. |

John Slater
John rejoined Moray Firth Media Trust as a trainer for full time students in 2007, he initially got his foot in the door of the radio industry through MFMT and has since worked in Presentation and Production at MFR, Moray Firth Radio 1107AM and Central FM.
Beside Presentation and Production John has a real passion for the internet and the new media possibilities it allows the radio industry. |

David Walker
Davey started his radio career in 2001 at Radio Borders. Since then, he's worked in most of the radio station's departments from Commercial Traffic to sport and on air. During 2004 he moved north to work in the programming department of MFR and Moray Firth Radio 1107AM.
If you enroll through the MFMT Flexible Learning program Davey will be your guide to the radio industry and help you to complete the VQ qualification. |

Liz McIntyre
Liz has worked in the training sector for many years, a graduate of Edinburgh University with a Degree in Education she was behind the setup of Moray Firth Media Trust as a training sector for Moray Firth Radio.
She subscribes to the principles of life-long learning, gaining qualifications in training, workplace assessment, health and safety, financial management as well as watercolour techniques, photography and is always looking for new things to learn.
Liz is Project Manager for MFMT and is also a qualified Assessor for our courses. |

Heather Paterson
Heather came to MFMT with an HND in Journalism from a stint at University in Glasgow, joining as a full time student she achieved her VQ in Local Radio Broadcasting and moved onto to work as a producer for MFR with Ray Atkinson.
Sponsorship and Promotions allowed heather to exercise her skills in radio programming and organisation; she also regularly broadcast weekend shows before moving back to the central belt of Scotland to work for Smooth and Rock Radio.
Heather currently works with the Online Learning section of Moray Firth Media Trust. |

Lesley Gallagher
Lesley has a background in Print and Broadcast Journalism with Radio, Newspapers and Magazines. Media Training, designing and delivering courses in Broadcasting and Journalism and most recently work as a Press Officer for a local parliamentary office has seen Lesley build a vast knowledge in the Media Industry.
Lesley is currently the Co-ordinator for MFMT's online training and also looks after Internal Verification of course candidates. |

Meet the Directors of Moray Firth Media Trust, industry professionals; they hold a great deal of experience between them.

Danny Gallagher
Danny spent time working with local government before moving into the Radio Industry with the lure of fame and fortune at the newly setup Radio Borders. Their first Breakfast Presenter he swiftly worked through the ranks becoming Programme Controller and spending time lecturing in media.
From taking Radio Borders to the highs of the UK's No. 1 Commercial Radio Station he moved north to take on the challenges of taming one of the UK's most geographically challenging radio stations, Moray Firth Radio.
Danny is a Director of MFMT along with Hilary Cartwright. |

Hilary Cartwright
Hilary has led a successful career in Commercial Radio Sales, initially working with Radio Forth in Edinburgh she moved swiftly through the ranks to become part of a newly setup team who dealt with advertising agencies. Promotion came with the position of Sales Director with Moray Firth Radio, a position Hilary holds to this day.
Hilary is a Director of MFMT along with Danny Gallagher.
